Amarillo, Texas, Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

- This is a permanent position
- Extensive hospital system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area
- Acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service while being the fourth largest employer in Amarillo with a medical staff of more than 450 physicians and about 3,000 employees
- All physicians are required to be board certified ABEM
- 50 hours of physician coverage and 40 hours of APC coverage daily within this level III trauma center
- Averaging an annual volume of 54,000 per year that encompasses 49 ED beds with a 31% admission rate: while dealing with high acuity.
- Physicians have access to the most advanced laboratory in the region with a state of the art ED and hospital facilities
- There is extensive specialty back up in place, which includes most pediatric specialties as well as scribes at no cost to the physicians
- Presently, ED staff do not handle floor codes, and are using EPIC as the EMR.
- Position Highlights:
- 1099 clinical contract for a physician hourly
