Responsibilities Cardiac Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Provides care for adults to geriatric patients with cardiac conditions including post MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease Unit has 16 beds with an average census of 16 and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5 Specialized procedures include peritoneal dialysis, telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler Uses Epic EMR (experience required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Floating to other Cardiac Telemetry units or other hospital units as needed No on-call responsibilities Main responsibilities include monitoring cardiac patients, managing telemetry and cardiac interventions, and supporting complex cardiac diagnoses Navy blue scrubs are required Modules for orientation are required and recorded via transcripts Travelers are expected to work holidays, with policy details based on number of holidays in assignment Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed and holiday RTO requests are strictly limited First-time travelers are accepted for this position Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Full compliance with documentation and labs required within 48 hours of contract signing for on-time start No blocked scheduling allowed Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit Requirements Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 1 year Cardiac Telemetry experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Experience with cardiac patient populations and telemetry monitoring required Prior Epic EMR experience required Must provide two supervisory references from a manager or above Perm / PRN staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for a full year before returning as traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610443.
