Manufacturing Engineer

- Salary pay range between $74,300 and $95,400
Primary Function :
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, repeatable, and cost-effective production
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities :
Process and Equipment Engineering
Specify, qualify, and optimize manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automationOptimize cycle times, yields, and throughputDevelop process controlsQuality, Safety, and Compliance
Ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirementsLead root cause analysis and corrective actionSupport audits (internal, customer, regulatory)Analyze and suggest improvements for Safety and ergonomicsNew Product Introduction (NPI)
Support product launches and technology transfer from R&D to manufacturingDevelop manufacturing readiness plans and pilot buildsCollaborate on design for manufacturability (DFM / DFA)Establish production documentation and training materialsCreate and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and routingsCreate concepts and designs for assembly aids, fixtures, and toolingCost, Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
Identify and execute cost-reduction initiativesDrive Lean manufacturing efforts (waste reduction, 5S, standard work)Analyze production data to improve performance metrics (OEE, scrap, rework)Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, other Engineering disciplinesSupport suppliers on process capability and manufacturabilityTrain Technicians on new processes and improvementsTranslate client needs into actionable engineering solutionsProvide on-site and remote engineering support as required by client engagementsFollow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.Education and Experience : (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering required.3+ years of relevant experience in prototype, low-volume, or R&D environments preferred.Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly processes, tooling, and fixtures.Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and process documentation tools.Strong written and verbal English language communication skillsExcellent teamwork / interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectivelyDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work groupDemonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core ValuesPass a post-offer background verificationWork Environment
Standard lab / production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
