We are looking for a skilled administrative assistant to join a law office on a contract basis. This position is located in Yonkers, New York, and will last approximately four-eight weeks, with the possibility of adjustment based on workload. The role requires strong typing abilities and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for accurately drafting legal documents and correspondence.
Responsibilities :
- Transcribe and draft motions, letters, and other legal documents based on attorney notes and instructions.
- Ensure all written materials are free of spelling and grammatical errors.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and other Office tools to format and edit documents.
- Collaborate with other typists to manage and complete the backlog of work efficiently.
- Follow office protocols, including mask-wearing and temperature checks, while working on-site.
- Maintain a meticulous demeanor and adhere to business casual dress standards.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
- Provide accurate and timely completion of word processing tasks as assigned.
- Proven experience in typing and word processing, with excellent accuracy and speed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong spelling and grammar skills to ensure error-free documents.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and transcribe attorney notes accurately.
- Comfortable working on-site while following safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Prior experience in a legal or meticulous office setting is a plus.
