The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is between $75,000 - $90,000 per year. GEA Group has varied pay ranges depending on work location within the United States. The pay range is not a guaranteed salary; final offers depend on factors like skills, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. As a Test Engineering Specialist, you will collaborate with Process / Sales Engineers, the Senior Biotechnologist, the New Food Technical Director, and the Test Center Manager to formulate test equipment configurations and plans that showcase our process equipment's capacity to fulfill customer requirements. This role demands a hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude to efficiently set up, adjust, and modify the necessary equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the operation of pilot plant equipment in line with test requirements, including bioreactors, fermenters, thermal processing systems, vacuum mixers, dryers, membrane filtration, aseptic processes, and utility systems, making necessary adjustmentsMonitor, repair, and assemble test station equipment as instructedMaintain cleanliness of the pilot plant and its equipment for optimal operationAssist in preparing shipping requests, documenting shipments, and managing inventory of plant consumables and safety equipmentParticipate in experimental planning, equipment reconfiguration, and Tech Transfer from customers to execute tests / experiments, while managing consumablesAdhere to internal and external QHSE requirements (including training and waste disposal)Support pre-sale and execution project teams as neededCollect and organize data on operating conditions, logging operations for use in generating final test reportsAnalyze test results for report creationCreate and modify Pilot Plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Engage in training, seminars, and professional development as requiredMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Contribute to team efforts by completing tasks as assigned by the supervisorYour Qualifications :
