Job Description
You are the first and and final piece to the guest’s experience. You monitor all of the restaurant for empty and clean tables, estimate wait times for guests, and make sure that all the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting up front with you. You are normally responsible for answering the telephone, moving tables around so we can welcome large parties. It starts and ends with you.
Performance Expectations
- Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect
- Arrives on time for all scheduled shifts and meetings
- Makes eye contact and greets guest enthusiastically
- Receive assignment at the beginning of each shift
- Maintain the host / cashier counter
- Help bus tables when needed, in order to seat parties. Making sure that each table is absolutely ready for the next guests.
- Receiving to-go orders, and entering them into the POS system
- Respond promptly and appropriately to the guest’s requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed
- Be an adaptable member of the staff, continually communicate and assist FOH and BOH
- Welcome each guest and thank them when they leave
- Seat each guest in a timely manner
