Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term client's team at (1) property in Saint Paul, MN (55101). The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. No special certifications or licenses required for this role. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (1) property that was built in 1912, 1242 units and 13 stories

Salary : $24-$27 / hour DOQ.

Schedule : Monday – Friday 830am – 430pm – must be available for apartment turns and emergency response / on-call upon conversion.

Emergency Response Schedule : Every 3-4 weeks, you will be required to work on-call rotation and further information will be provided upon conversion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties :

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb / dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and / or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets / drains, repair / replace leaking faucets, remove / replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust / replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.
