HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Emporia, Kansas.

Title : Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Location : Emporia, KS

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (06 : 30 – 15 : 00), Monday–Friday

On-Call : Rotating nights and weekends

Job Responsibilities :

  • Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and ensuring a safe operative environment.
  • Scrub in and support surgeons for a variety of cases including general surgery, orthopedic joint replacements (knee, hip, shoulder), robotic surgery, and laparoscopic procedures (appendectomy, cholecystectomy).
  • Follow hospital protocols for infection control and patient safety throughout all surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgical team members including circulating nurses and anesthesiologists to support patient care.
  • Maintain surgical instrumentation and equipment to ensure proper function and cleanliness.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
  • National Certification (NBSTSA required)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Solid skills checklist demonstrating experience in :

    • General Surgery

  • Orthopedic Joint Replacements (hip, knee, shoulder)
  • Robotic Surgery
  • Laparoscopic procedures (appendix, gallbladder)
