Responsibilities Work in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit within a critical access hospital Care for both mothers and newborns across all phases of OB care Typical patient ratios range from 1 : 1 to 1 : 4 Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 with variable weekend requirements Floating to other units within the facility is required based on unit needs Epic EMR is used and experience is required Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages Flexibility required to assist with tasks across other nursing units as needed Scrub attire of any color is permitted; OR scrubs are provided when needed Pre-employment online modules must be completed prior to start and annually, typically totaling an average of 16 hours Parking is free for staff Minimal to no time off is approved and all requests must be made at the time of application All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility and across state facilities as needed Requirements Active MT or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of L&D or LDRP nursing experience required Current NRP certification required BLS certification required Must submit 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the past 3 years Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for traveler pay Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before resubmitting as a traveler COVID and flu vaccination documentation required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-641597.
