Job Description :
- Responsible for ongoing meal production and timely meal service
- Test new recipes
- Clean the kitchen; put away / organize food deliveries
- Assist with kitchen inspections as needed, to ensure the foodservice production area is safe and sanitary.
- Inspect storage areas on a regular basis for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and order
- Assist in supervising dietary staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist with resident nutritional assessments and participate in care plans as needed
- Provide in-services education and training to dietary staff
- Act as department head in absence of the Dietary Manager
