Full Time Day Shift Registered Nurse (RN) in ICU\n\nCompany Overview\n\nRussellville Hospital is a non-profit acute care facility with 49 beds, dedicated to serving northwest Alabama. It holds full accreditation from The Joint Commission. The hospital offers a wide range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit / Cardiac Care Unit, Respiratory Therapy, as well as inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and treatment services. Other services include Rehabilitation Services, Cardiac Catheterization, Ambulatory Surgery, Laboratory services, and Home Health.\n\nThe medical staff provides expertise in various areas, such as Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Radiology, and Urology. Additionally, the hospital functions as an educational clinic for nursing, laboratory, and radiology students from the local area.\n\nNestled in Franklin County in northwest Alabama, the city of Russellville boasts tree-lined streets, charming homes, and a welcoming small-town atmosphere.\n\nPosition Summary\n\nThe RN is responsible and accountable for providing and coordinating patient care. The RN identifies and addresses patient's needs and priorities through assessment, planning, and collaboration with other healthcare providers. The RN will execute physician orders and supervise the implementation of nursing interventions. The RN functions as a patient advocate representing the patient's interests when illness prevents an individual from being physically or emotionally able to express their feelings or thoughts. The RN evaluates response to care through the outcomes of clinical results, patient satisfaction, and acceptable cost.\n\nResponsibilities\n

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.\n
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to changes in their condition.\n
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.\n
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.\n
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.\n
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.\n\nRequirements\n
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.\n
  • Experience in an ICU or acute care setting is highly preferred.\n
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and critical care protocols.\n
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patient education.\n
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.\n\nEducation\n\nCurrent Alabama RN license. BSN preferred. Must complete Hospital-based ACLS and PALS within one year of employment.\n\nJob Type : Full-time\n\nBenefits : \n
