Director, Programs 2
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector and the AMS Division is looking for a Director, Programs 2 to lead the Advanced Systems Operating Unit (OU) within the Advanced Mission Capabilities Business Unit (BU). The Advanced Systems OU has a unique range of next generation technology programs spanning the full life cycle from capture to development through sustainment, while operating in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The OU Director has P&L responsibilities for the management, strategy, and execution of the Restricted OU. This position reports to the VP, Advanced Mission Capabilities BU and will be located full-time onsite in Baltimore, MD.
What You'll Get to Do :
- Builds and leverages a strong partnership with cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives in a matrix organizational environment.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, risk / opportunity management, identifies and resolves complex program problems.
- Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning.
- Cultivates a positive employee experience in a high-pressure environment by focusing on engagement, recognition, retention initiatives and professional development.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills to deliver executive briefings internally and externally to customers, leaders and other program stakeholders.
- Cultivates customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community.
- Develops business area strategies and new business opportunities that are consistent with Division / Sector priorities to drive consistent growth for the operating area.
- Participates in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
- Driving predictable program performance, including regular measurement and management of key performance metrics.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree with 10 years of program management or related experience or a Master's degree with 8 years of program management or related experience.Profit & Loss experience with an integrated program team.Significant proposal leadership experience (competitive and non-competitive).Demonstrated success leading teams and / or organizations to achieve a common goal, exceptional collaboration skills in a matrix environment.Experience leading and executing demanding high visibility roles with evidence of being able to create an inclusive work environment that attracts, retains and inspires diverse engaged teams.Demonstrated experience fostering existing customer relationships and developing new customer relationships across all services.Experience leading DOD programs.Demonstrated capture expertise and experience developing and driving strategy.Extensive experience generating and briefing senior level (i.e. executives) internal and external stakeholders.Ability to travel up to 25%.US citizenship.Current / Active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to obtain special access clearances after starting.Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in engineering and / or business administration.Expertise in Full Life Cycle (early S&T, EMD, Production & Sustainment) of program execution to lead the performance of tasks on schedule and at cost.What We Can Offer You :

Primary Level Salary Range : $246,800.00 - $370,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
