Job descriptionImplement cloud security measures such as IAM (Identity & Access Management), encryption, and network protections. Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, conduct assessments, and maintain documentation. Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and availability. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate cloud solutions into enterprise systems. Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to staff and faculty on cloud platforms. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and security standards. Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain). CompTIA Security+ CE or higher DoD-approved cybersecurity certification. Azure Solutions Architect Google Professional Cloud Architect ServiceNow CSA or CAD (if supporting ServiceNow cloud systems) Experience : 3+ years in cloud development, deployment, and infrastructure management. Strong knowledge of cloud computing principles, networking, and cybersecurity. Experience with automation tools, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code. Programming proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless computing. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in DoD or other federal IT environments. Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, or CMMC compliance frameworks. Demonstrated success optimizing cloud resources for cost efficiency. Work Environment & Conditions On-site at DKI APCSS in Honolulu, HI. Monday – Friday, 0800–1600 HST, excluding federal holidays. Must comply with DoD security policies and complete required annual training. Work is performed in a secure government facility with mission-driven operations. Why Join Lucayan? - Honolulu, Hawaii Clearance Requirement : Secret Clearance Employment Type : Full-Time Job Summary The Cloud Developer will design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based applications and infrastructure to support APCSS’s mission.
- This position ensures that cloud solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards in line with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements.
- The Cloud Developer will play a critical role in integrating cloud services into the APCSS IT ecosystem while optimizing resources for efficiency and reliability.
- Key Responsibilities Design and build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud applications and services.
- Deploy and manage solutions across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines to support rapid deployment.
Apply cloud architecture best practices, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and serverless computing.
