If so, we are looking for a dedicated Full-time Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Peninsula Veterinary Services. Daily Responsibilities : Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, phlebotomy, invoicing and filling medications Maintain accurate medical records and histories for each animal Educate pet owners on proper pet care, including nutrition, behavior, and preventive health measures Assist in patient recovery and post-operative care Operate basic veterinary equipment such as X-ray machines and lab machines Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies Required Skills : Previous experience in a veterinary hospital is required Knowledge of fear-free techniques and client education Knowledge of veterinary terminology and anatomy Proficient in technical skills : digital radiography, EMR first aid / CPR, phlebotomy, lab machines and animal handling Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members Salary and Benefits : We offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k), flexible schedules, holiday pay, and paid time off.
