Software Engineer, Kubernetes - SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED!
LOCATION : Full-time onsite at Colorado Springs, CO
SALARY : $130,000-140,000
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Creation and sustainment of Kubernetes clusters
- Installation, Configuration, testing, and sustainment of DevSecOps tolls
- Integration and automation of the DevSecOps tools to enable CI / CD
- Implementing automation in cluster and tool creation
- Implementing process and procedures for utilizing the DevSecOps Pipeline
- Maintenance of the DevSecOps pipeline to ensure availability to the software developers
- Rapid resolution of DevSecOps pipeline issues
- Position may require at times, night and / or weekend work to maintain a secure and resilient system
- Providing recommendations and be an expert who can establish an initial DevSecOps environment in a SIL on a RedHat Linux environment, with familiarity with OpenShift
- Being a key part of a team that is transitioning from legacy software to cloud-based architecture, software, and agile engineering approaches
- Develop code in accordance with coding and security standards, potentially including compliance with DoD’s Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
- Working within agile processes for short cycle, fast-paced delivery both independently and on a team
- Healthy and productive communication and interaction with other Zivaro team members, management, and our customers
- Support other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
6 or more directly related IT experience7 years general work experience3 or more years of experience working with containerized and / or cloud platforms and implementing DevSecOps practices2 or more years of experience deploying and maintaining VMWare Tanzu clustersExperience with containerization and microservicesExperience of CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IAC) principlesExperience working with KubernetesAbility to recommend, configure, and maintain DevSecOps pipeline tools and environments, including OpenShiftExperience with transitioning from traditional on-premise development environment to a cloud environmentCloud architecture experience, with the ability to evolve legacy software into a microservices architecture and expertise with specifying the inputs, outputs and service roles within the architectureSoftware engineering experience in an OpenShift RedHat environmentIn-depth knowledge of containers and KubernetesExpert in agile software engineering approaches; Experience applying behavior-driven and test-driven developmentWillingness and ability to teach DevSecOps software engineering approaches to others on the teamExcellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skillsDetail-OrientedDesired
Knowledge of Kobayashi Maru, Platform One, Cloud One, Space Camp, or other Air Force DevSecOps environments is preferredJava and / or JavaScript experience is a plusExperience implementing DevSecOps in a container ecosystemExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms, like Terraform and AnsibleExperience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration EnvironmentsExperience implementing DevSecOps pipelines in a VMware Tanzu environmentExperience Implemented CI / CD deployment pipelines for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Kubernetes, re-factored software projects for integration in larger ecosystem of applicationsEDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and over 5 years DevSecOps work experienceIAT Level II certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) is requiredSECURITY CLEARANCE : Active Secret Clearance Required to start
