Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Unit Secretary is responsible for performing clerical and reception duties for specified patient care units. Requisitions supplies, equipment and services as directed by Nurse Manager. Collaborate with other clinical staff to meet individual patient needs using available resources to insure quality, cost effective care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Experience : A minimum of 1 year experience in hospital business office, preferably in a health care setting; or any combination of education, training or experience in a hospital business office.

Additional Requirements : Successful completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. CPR is required. May be required to work overtime. Some holidays and weekends are required. Must have current CPR Certification. Ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours as requested.
