Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment in a high-risk, large hospital environment requiring a NJ or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Labor & Delivery unit of a large hospital setting
  • Care for high-risk pregnancy patients
  • Day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., three days per week
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Provide thorough assessments and direct patient care for obstetric patients
  • Perform and document pre- and post-operative assessments and patient education
  • Demonstrate competency in emergency procedures and the use of emergency equipment
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions
  • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and universal protocols
  • Compliance with required background and drug screening timelines is necessary

  • Active NJ or compact RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years recent travel nursing experience in large hospital Labor & Delivery settings with high-risk pregnancies
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
