A Typical Day

The Mortgage Fulfillment Manager acts as a key contributor in workflow management, new initiatives, process development and culture building. As the Mortgage Fulfillment Manager, you will monitor workflows and queues to ensure service levels are met, develop process improvements or actively seek methods to streamline business processes and manage and set goals for a team.

Responsibilities

  • Examine property titles : Looking at title documents and public records to identify issues that could affect the title
  • Resolve title issues : Working with attorneys, lenders, and other parties to resolve issues like liens, judgments, tax issues, and more
  • Communicate with clients : Keeping clients updates on the status of title clearance and addressing any inquiries they may have
  • Meeting deadlines : Ensuring the files are reviewed and cleared in a timely manner
  • Manage vendors : Managing the productivity of outside title curative vendors and legal counsel
  • Ensure compliance : Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Effectively leverage resources to monitor queue performance, identify patterns and trends causing issues and work towards business solutions
  • Develop new and more innovative, efficient processes to improve overall end to end cycle times or improve quality
  • Support, recommend and implement technology initiatives
  • Be responsible for communicating monthly results to Management on departmental performance objectives
  • Act as the main point of escalation for all issues within the function
  • Perform capacity and staff planning to ensure adequate service levels are met
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of mortgage experience
  • Knowledge of title searches, title examination, and lien clearance in multiple states
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Effective organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasive, negotiating, and relationship-building abilities
  • Encompass knowledge not required but a plus
