Location : Urbana, Illinois (61801) – Illinois nursing jobs

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (October 13, 2025 – January 10, 2026)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM), 3 shifts per week

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery, Level 1 Trauma Center

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2070 - $2120

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital or trauma center

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association)

Experience with Trauma 1 and EPIC electronic health records required

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients, including fetal monitoring and medication administration

Provide intrapartum care for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and surgical procedures

Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

Maintain accurate nursing documentation and update patient records

Adjust care plans based on patient evaluation and clinical changes

Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and mitigating hazards

Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team

Engage in ongoing professional development and meet all departmental competencies
