Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) located in Kerrville, TX. The LVN will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, assisting with patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to develop care plans. Additional duties include monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate medical records, and educating patients and families on health management and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid license as LVN issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
- CPR Certified
- TB Documentation
- Successfully pass drug screening and FBI Fingerprint Background Check
- Provide negative Covid-19 test (During Onboarding)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience but preferably two or more (2+) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institutions
- Clinical competencies must be current
- Perform computer data entry – Receive full training
- Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes / enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.
Duties / Responsibilities
Licensed Vocational Nurse performs complex vocational nursing for various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager.Organize, provide, and maintain necessary health care services consistent with hospital policies and proceduresCompetent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes / enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.Plan and implement nursing care. This includes administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, disease prevention, physicians' orders, and obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing.Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team in developing multi-disciplinary treatment efforts, update care plans, assist physicians with rounds; note and institute physician ordersEnsure that staff utilizes optimum standards of resident care and that staff members observe safety and Infection Control Precautions and regulations at all times.Schedule & Pay
