Job description

Job Title : Business Professional - Sourcing Analyst

Location : Newark, NJ

Job Summary :

Junior level position responsible for cost-efficient and effective procurement of goods and services.
Assists in the selection, development, negotiation, and execution of contracts covering a wide variety of specifications and commercial items or services.
Responsible for gathering and presenting utilization and spend information to build and manage sourcing category strategies.

Responsibilities :

Works with internal clients to integrate procurement processes and policies into regular business practice.

Assists with accurate completion of Workday processes and compliance with procurement policies.

Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing Staff, internal clients, and external suppliers on RF related activities.

Procures goods and services as assigned via eProcurement tools; evaluates products and services for overall value.

Coordinates with Strategic Sourcing team, internal clients, and suppliers to obtain quotes, conduct cost analysis, and participate in price and term / condition negotiations.

Acts as first-tier problem resolution concerning quality, deliveries, Accounts Payable issues, outstanding items, damaged goods, and incorrect shipments.

Assists other Strategic Sourcing staff with special projects.

Generates queries and reports from the appropriate Strategic Sourcing systems for internal customers as requested.

Education / Experience :

Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

1-2 years of experience in strategic sourcing / procurement field preferred.

Knowledge :

Preferred knowledge of Healthcare Industry, Contracting (Legal), Finance, Technology, Workday.

Requires an ability to think analytically.

Requires good oral, written, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Requires good PC skills (MS Office).

Prefers working knowledge of eProcurement systems (i.e. Workday, Icertis, Cognos).
