Responsibilities Work in a mixed acuity Telemetry unit within a large hospital setting Advanced care level patients with experience needed in advanced drips and step-down care Patient ratios typically 1 : 4, may increase to 1 : 5-6 at times Team nursing model with RNs, LPNs, and PCTs utilized as needed Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts (19 : 00-07 : 30) Must float to all stepdown and advanced care units as assigned, may float between main and satellite campuses within approximately 15 miles Required to work every other weekend and every holiday with no holiday RTO approved No local candidates accepted (must live outside 50-mile radius) Must work within a team nursing or primary nursing model based on unit needs Nurses will be N95 fitted prior to working on high risk units unless PAPR is used Medical exemptions for vaccinations are not accepted No more than 7 days of RTO will be approved per contract First time travelers not preferred; prior travel experience preferred Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years large hospital experience required; Level 1 trauma experience preferred, Level 2 accepted Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification if not already held Ability to pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment Must be willing and able to float as needed Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625582.
