Job Summary : The Surgical Technologist (also known as Scrub Technologist) plays a key role in the operating room by supporting surgeons and ensuring safe, efficient procedures. This role is responsible for preparing sterile instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, assisting during surgeries, and caring for instruments after use. The Technologist may also support case carts, turnover teams, and service line assignments to ensure smooth patient flow in the OR.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and set up sterile tables with instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique at all times.
- Clean, care for, and process instruments after procedures.
- Support case carts, turnover team, and service line roles as assigned.
- ssist with circulating duties under the RN's supervision.
- Contribute to efficient patient flow and overall OR performance.
Required Qualifications :
Graduate of a Surgical Technology program.Washington Surgical Technologist Registration (upon hire).BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).Current experience as a Registered Surgical Technologist.Recent graduates of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program may also be considered.Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years of operating room experience.
