Are you ready to make a difference in the Operating Room? Advocate Health is excited to offer a full-time opportunity as a Surgical Technologist I - General Specialty on evening shifts. At Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, we provide innovative and compassionate care to patients from across the state and beyond.

Responsibilities :

Prepare for surgical procedures using aseptic techniques.

Set up and maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment.

Assist in various surgical procedures, anticipating surgeons' needs.

Transport patients and equipment safely, ensuring optimal patient care.

Participate actively as a Second Assistant when necessary.

Requirements :

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months.

No prior experience is required.

Skills Needed :

Knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical equipment.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.

Exposure to hazards such as mechanical, electrical, and blood / bodily fluids is expected.
