About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Central Sterile Technician to join a dedicated surgical services team at a leading healthcare facility in Cortlandt Manor, NY. The ideal candidate will bring precision, focus, and strong organizational skills to ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and distributed in accordance with infection control standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays following established procedures.
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and other processing equipment in compliance with manufacturer and hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, biological indicators, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform quality checks to ensure instruments are free of defects and properly assembled.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and tracking instruments for surgical and procedural departments.
• Respond promptly to surgical and emergency requests for sterile instruments or supplies.
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards (AAMI, AORN, CDC, and Joint Commission).
