Physician Assistant – Aviation Medicine / Primary Care
Location : Little Rock AFB, Arkansas
Type : Full-Time
Period of Performance : 11 / 01 / 2025 – 12 / 31 / 2026

Work Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
One-hour uncompensated meal break (as determined by the clinical department)
Key Responsibilities :
As a Physician Assistant – Aviation Medicine, you will :
- Provide primary care and operational medicine services for flight and special duty personnel.
- Perform comprehensive exams, diagnoses, treatment, preventive care, and health counseling.
- Conduct occupational and flight medicine evaluations, including aeromedical dispositions.
- Order diagnostic tests, interpret results, and coordinate consultations or referrals.
- Administer immunizations, medications, minor procedures, and emergency care as needed.
- Provide education and in-service training to other healthcare staff.
- Serve as Primary Care Manager (PCM) for assigned patients.
- Participate in Flight and Operational Medicine Working Groups, patient care conferences, and professional meetings.
- Utilize electronic health record systems including MHS Genesis, ASIMS, AIMWTS, PEPP, and related platforms.
- Maintain professional conduct as a contractor employee and properly identify as contractor personnel in all interactions.
- Procedures you may perform include (but are not limited to) :
- Basic & Advanced Life Support, airway management, cardioversion
- Minor surgical procedures (biopsies, lesion excision, abscess drainage, suturing)
- Venous punctures, IV / IM / SC medication administration
- Splinting, bandaging, and stabilization of traumatic injuries
- Aeromedical dispositions, evaluations, and profiling for flight / special duty personnel
- ? Qualifications :
- Degree : Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA accredited program
- Experience : Minimum 36 months as a PA, with 18–24 months in Family Health
- Certification : NCCPA certified, with current maintenance of certification
- Licensure : Current, full, active, unrestricted PA license
- Life Support : Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Security : Ability to pass a government background check / security clearance
- Aviation Medicine Training : Completion of USAF-SAM Aerospace Medicine Primary Courses (AMP 101 / 201 / 202 / 301) or sister-service equivalent

PA License – Copy of current, unrestricted license.
Certifications : NCCPA – Copy of current certification BLS – Copy (AHA or ARC only)
Education : Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies – Diploma or transcript copy.
Aviation Medicine Training Documentation – Proof of completion of USAF-SAM Aerospace Medicine Primary Courses (AMP 101 / 201 / 202 / 301) or sister-service equivalent.
Professional References – Minimum of 2 (Name, Title, Facility, Contact Info; preferably supervisors or managers).
