Job description

Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Project Manager will oversee electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to develop project plans and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, including budget updates, timelines, and potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC codes, safety standards, and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage procurement processes and liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Implement best practices in project management methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical project management, with a focus on commercial and industrial construction.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale electrical projects, including data centers and mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes and standards, as well as experience with MEP systems in various environments, including hospitals and airports.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage project teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or LEED are a plus.
