Electrical Test Engineer

Job Description

This role will be responsible for the full cycle performance testing for both standard and customized products with applications in electric motors. The Electrical Test Engineer will design & develop test stands for evaluating the performance of product, parts and components, working with PLC programming and testing software to complete a variety of test orders. This role will coordinate testing activities and create reporting and documentation for both customers and internal teams. The role works cross-functionally with teams company-wide and contributes by ensuring product integrity, endurance and quality.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred) or associate degree in electrical engineering with 4+ years of experience. Career experience within a test laboratory environment, as well as experience building test stands is preferred.

Experience working with electrical motors and systems is essential. Circuit board troubleshooting and repair as well as programming experience is needed in this role. Experience programming PLC's is needed (Siemens preferred).

Other duties and responsibilities include :

• Participation in design review meetings and collaboration with team members
• Track and document test orders on new product development projects
• Monitor designs, product specifications and detailed drawings
• Collaborate with all stakeholders, both internal and external, to determine product effectiveness and provide analysis
• Create recommendations for optimal product performance, endurance and cost factors
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to address customer concerns, any non-conformances, and returns
• Contribute expertise to innovation and design of testing process and products
• Perform other functions as required
