Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC) , a member of the  University of Maryland Medical System , and a leading provider of primary care in Anne Arundel County, is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Critical Care Residency Program

The Critical Care Residency Program is a one-year post graduate training program consisting of a wide range of technical and procedural skills by sharing knowledge through simulation, educational courses and clinical rotations. Our goal is for you to  learn to provide comprehensive health care to a specific patient population under the supervision of medical staff.  Follows established applicable nursing and medical standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other support staff.  Patients served include adolescent through adult-older adult.

Job Description

You will work as a member of the critical care team and develop greater independence over the course of a 12-month training program. Experiences will include :

• Completing admissions
• Note writing
• Presenting on rounds
• Calling consults
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
• Performing bedside procedures
• Obtain a diverse understanding of critical care billing
