American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT and X-ray experience, ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certification for an acute care radiology setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital in the Radiology - CT / X-ray unitDepartment is equipped with 2 CT scanners (64-slice Philips and 16-slice GE) and 2 Philips X-ray roomsTypical caseload is around 20-30 CT and X-ray scans per dayPatient population includes adults in a Level 3 trauma settingProcedures include routine X-rays and CT scans; IV starts requiredEMR used is MEDHOST - Enterprise; PACS system is Synapse; department also utilizes MeditechShift schedule alternates between days and mid shifts across 12-hour shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and rotating call requirementsHoliday coverage is required on a rotating basis with core staffFloating may be required between College Station and Bryan campuses, 16 minutes apart, as neededFirst to float between College Station and Bryan campuses as neededCandidates may not have been directly employed in the past year by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility; PRN through outside firms consideredMay be asked to precept other technologists as needed by the unitScrub color is black; scrubs are not providedCall-outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CT and X-ray in a hospital settingActive ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredActive state licensure required for consideration; pending licenses not accepted; license required if applicableExperience with Philips and GE CT / X-ray equipment is preferredAbility to start IVs requiredMust provide two references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one supervisor or peer from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityCopy of driver's license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
