Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CT Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Shift : Days, 06 : 30 AM - 18 : 00 PM & 14 : 00 PM - 23 : 30 PM Work Experience : Performs Computed Tomography procedures to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. The CT Technologist works effectively with patients and patients' families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Performs all responsibilities / duties required by the Diagnostic Imaging department as defined in the scope of practice, to assure that the unique nature of the patient is addressed. This includes but is not limited to the age of the patient served. Positions patient and / or equipment to efficiently obtain high quality images. Select proper scanning procedure for each CT according to radiologist protocols. Perform proper views for each exam according to department protocol. Under direction of a physician, administer appropriate contrast agents according to department protocol and maintain current knowledge of these agents and their indications / contraindications. Ensure appropriate consent forms are signed by the patient or responsible party for contrast procedures. Assist physician / students / technologists with CT procedures. Coordinate procedures with appropriate departments and personnel as needed. Maintain technical skills relating to imaging factors. Maintain knowledge of anatomy and pathology in order to produce high quality images. Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology License : Current Medical Radiographer license from the State of Nebraska. Certifications : BLS / CPR Certification.
