Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a NJ or Compact license and BLS / ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit with a 24-bed capacity

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19 : 00–07 : 30)

Every other weekend (Friday / Saturday) required

Patient mix includes telemetry with a typical ratio of 1 : 5–6+

Floating required to other Med / Surg Tele units as needed

Uses Epic EMR

Experience with vital signs machine, glucometer, specialty beds, and defibrillator required

Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays

Navy blue scrubs required

Clinicians expected to adhere to agreed schedule and not request changes onsite

Time off must be approved before acceptance; changes after offer are not accommodated

Return staff must be gone from the health system for at least 1 year before eligibility

First-time travelers are accepted

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Pre-employment completion of modules and Epic training required

Requirements

Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration

Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required

Experience with Epic charting system required

References required for consideration

Background and license must be clear of open or active issues
