The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting medical assessments as part of the VA's disability benefits process. They will review the Veteran's medical records, which are uploaded into a computer portal before the appointment. During the assessment, the Audiologist will administer a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. The Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) will be completed in the computer portal, providing crucial evidence for the VA to decide the veteran's benefits.
As an Audiologist with MRG Exams, you will not prescribe any medical treatments or devices. Your primary focus will be on reviewing and assessing 3-6 Veterans per day on average. The schedule is consistent, with 3 days per week from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm.
This is an in-person position that offers flexibility, with each patient session ranging from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes. You will not be required to work evenings, weekends, or be on-call. Additionally, you will not be involved in hearing aid sales.
To be considered for this role, you must have an Au.D degree from an ASHA Accredited school and hold a current license as an Audiologist. A strong understanding of the importance of accurate assessments and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position. xklufbp
