Description

The Communication Requirements Manager is a key contributor on the Marketing Operations Planning & Enablement team responsible for building and executing requirements to help the organization deliver complex customer communications and support Unified Customer Communication (UCC) initiatives. This role will partner across multiple teams to perform analyses of marketing and communication strategies, capture detailed business and technology requirements, and transition work to the Marketing Operations and Technology teams for implementation. This is a unique opportunity to have a hands-on role in shaping the customer experience across the 550M+ communications we send annually.

The candidate is required to have strong skills in Agile project delivery methodology, tools, and technologies to drive solution discovery and requirements gathering while operating in a matrixed organization with multiple business and technology teams. This role must be adept at translating technical ideas into information easily understood by a less technical audience and will serve as a requirements SME (subject matter experts), providing critical documentation that will influence strategy, accuracy, and overall project success.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitates consultation sessions with customer communication strategy owners to determine the best implementation approach for creating or enhancing communications in partnership with Campaign Operations, MarTech, and Technology teams
  • Leads sessions with Communication Strategy Owners, the Test & Learn team, and other stakeholders to capture detailed requirements for new functionality that will enable new or enhanced communications
  • Understands best practices for customer communication technology capabilities and how workflows built in Adobe Campaign to be able to deliver detailed requirements
  • Delivers consistent and comprehensive requires to the Campaign Operations, MarTech, and Technology teams in a repeatable and automated fashion
  • Works with Campaign Operations, MarTech, and Technology teams to assess project delivery scope, impacts, and phasing for complex initiatives
  • Partners with Project Managers and Technology to determine delivery timing
  • Serves as an SME for project requirements and ensures all implementation teams have comprehensive and consistent input required to drive successful execution
  • Tracks the creation of functional designs; identifies risks and benefits of alternate designs; calculates costs/benefits of potential actions or solutions to establish their viability/ROI; ensures business objectives are being met
  • Maintains strong partnerships with boundary and third-party partners to ensure coordinated implementations and deployments
  • Prepares executive-ready documentation, reports, and visualizations to present to communication and program stakeholders

Who You Are

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience, or 10 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Project experience using Agile project delivery methodology and related tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Clarizen, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to influence and evangelize the value of marketing technology
  • Creative thinker offering innovative and out-of-the-box solutions to complex and ambiguous problems
  • Relationship building and collaboration skills to effective work with teams and leaders throughout organization
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Excellent presentation skills, with an aptitude for managing expectations between stakeholder groups
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to situations, be flexible, resourceful, and nimble in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly on your feet
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to foster and work in an inclusive environment

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or related discipline
  • Experience related to Marketing Clouds or similar multi-channel marketing automation technologies; Adobe Campaign Classic
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $96,100.00 - $160,100.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
