• Must be willing to float to other units and facilities.
• Available for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Required to work holidays and every other weekend.

Description :

This position is for a nurse in a medical respiratory unit specializing in acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

Nurses will have a ratio of 1 : 6, caring primarily for respiratory patients with pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, and other lung diseases.

The unit also cares for medical patients with gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients.

Patients benefit from daily rounds by an interdisciplinary team.

The unit includes an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit with a nursing ratio of 1 : 4.

An associate degree in nursing is required for this role.

Two years of experience is preferred, but candidates with 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license will be considered if they have at least one year of experience in the specialty field.
