Position Summary : Volunteers of America Oregon's Community & Electronic Monitoring Program works in partnership with the Juvenile Services Division, courts, and other community-based providers to help support youth through tracking and monitoring in their community and / or home in lieu of incarceration. Role is responsible for monitoring youth referred into the program to ensure that conditions of release are being complied with, to assess the nature of the activities of the juvenile in the community, and to ensure public safety and that the youth returns to court. This position requires an extensive amount of driving throughout Multnomah County.

Supervisory Responsibility : This position is not responsible for supervision of other employees. Works under the direction of the Program Manager.
Work Environment :
o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is consistently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and keyboard, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
o The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
o Works in an office setting and frequently travels locally to provide monitoring service to youth population.
o Must be prepared to handle client crises and / or emergencies
o Frequent meetings outside of the office throughout Multnomah County.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work : This is a full-time position; 40 hrs. per week; Hours vary depending on the need.
