Overview
Biltmore Estate Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, assets and property, and will support and contribute to the world class guest service experience that Biltmore offers. Duties may vary according to assignment / location, and may include providing assistance in a professional and hospitable manner; security and emergency response services for assigned location(s); support for staff, guests, and vendors; and access control for the collection, secured sites / buildings / locations, and other property and assets. In addition, Security Officers will provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company as required.

- Support staff, guests, and vendors; assist leadership and the department as required.
Compensation and Schedule
The starting pay range for this position begins at $17.09 / hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Flex : a position working an average of 20-29 hours per week (between 1000 - 1559 hours / year). Schedule can vary between 1st and 2nd shift, generally a dayshift position.

High school diploma required. Related training or certifications helpful. Must have or be able to obtain AED, CPR and First Aid certification.At least one (1) year of similar experience in guest services support, safety, security, or related field preferred. Prior experience in attractions, hospitality, or upscale hotel / resort environments with a focus on guest service is ideal.Demonstrated commitment to delivering world class internal / external guest service.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to write and complete reports in standard English. Knowledge of second language helpful.Ability to evaluate situations and exercise good judgment.Proactive, takes initiative; able to troubleshoot and handle diverse guest and employee situations professionally.Works effectively independently and as part of a dynamic guest service team.Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Biltmore systems and protocols; prioritization and multi-tasking skills; keen attention to detail.Physical Requirements
The position may require working inside and outside in all types of weather; stand / walk for extended periods; and the ability to assist guests and employees as needed.Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; may lift / pull / push up to 100 pounds with assistance.Normal sensory acuity and ability to respond to multiple stimuli; valid NC driver's license with clean driving record; minimum age 18.Ability to look at computer screens for extended periods.Essential Job Duties
Be thoroughly familiar with Biltmore and grounds, access / key control procedures, alarm devices, emergency protocols, and basic security system troubleshooting.Accurately document events and write reports according to protocols.Conduct patrols of assigned areas as required.Respond appropriately to threats such as severe weather changes and fire hazards; follow emergency procedures.Provide world class internal / external service for guests, staff, and vendors.Assist estate residents as required.J-18808-Ljbffr
