EHS Manager - Regional / multi-site, Safety, Environmental
Regional Safety & Environmental Program Leader
- Location : Multi-site (Remote with Travel) in the Norwalk, CA area

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across a network of 2-5 operational facilities. This role will champion compliance, drive performance improvements, and foster a proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, technical expertise, and a passion for creating safe, sustainable workplaces.
Key Responsibilities :
Guide and support multiple facilities in implementing and maintaining safety and environmental management systems.Conduct audits, develop training programs, and update site-specific procedures to align with internal standards and external regulations.Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for incidents and compliance gaps.Collaborate with site teams to set annual goals, monitor regulatory changes, and ensure alignment with sustainability and permitting requirements.Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives through coaching, education, and culture-building activities.Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for operational hazards.Provide ongoing support for certification efforts (e.g., ISO, ANSI, or equivalent frameworks).Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field (other relevant disciplines considered).Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety roles.Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance.Proven ability to influence and collaborate across teams and locations.Skilled in problem-solving, strategic planning, and process improvement.Comfortable with technology and able to train others on systems and procedures.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience with permitting, reporting, and regulatory documentation across environmental media.Familiarity with EHS management systems such as ISO45001, RC14001, or ANSI Z10.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is a plus.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience managing EHS programs across multiple sites.Prior leadership or supervisory experience.Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar.Background in manufacturing or industrial operations.Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Understanding of workers' compensation laws and claims management.Benefits
