TRC's partner, Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant has a direct hire opportunity for a Head of Department for their Paint Section within the Production team!

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is the group’s first EV-dedicated mass production facility, featuring state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily operations for the assigned department, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and execute departmental plans, budgets, and KPIs to drive efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Coordinate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to meet production targets and resolve operational issues.
  • Oversee materials, equipment, and subsidiary supplies (paint, sealer, tools, etc.) for optimal use.
  • Ensure compliance with BMS, EMS, and SMS requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and productive facility environment.

    • What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred).
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, ideally in OEM automotive operations.
  • Strong leadership, data analysis, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends and operational excellence.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to collaborate with H / KMC employees.

    • Travel

    Domestic and international travel required.
