Staff Data Analyst

A company is looking for a Staff Data Analyst with strong FinOps experience to support Data Platform / Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze cloud spend and identify optimization opportunities in collaboration with engineering, product, and finance teams

Build dashboards, reports, and cost allocation models for chargeback / showback

Track and forecast cloud usage and perform deep dive analysis on usage anomalies and budget overruns

Required Qualifications

Strong SQL and data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)

Hands-on experience with cloud cost and billing data (e.g., AWS CUR, GCP Billing Export, Azure Cost Management)

Experience with FinOps practices such as tagging, cost allocation, and budgeting / forecasting

Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R) for automation / analysis is a plus

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field
