Scope Of Position :
The Computed Tomography division encompasses stationary CT equipment located in University Hospital, East Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, and OSUWMC Ambulatory Imaging locations.
Position Summary :
The Lead CT Technologist position performs all duties of the CT Technologist in addition to coordinating daily workflow, daily assignments, patient flow, and provides support to the operations of the department. The lead provides all quality assessment activities for the imaging site in addition to the maintenance of accreditation preparedness for the site. The lead will provide assistance in assessing technologists' performance for annual merit increases as well as orient new staff to the department. The lead may cover additional Imaging Supervisor / Manager responsibilities as necessary in the Supervisor / Managers' absence or should a vacancy occur. The CT Technologist performs computerized tomographic exams / procedures for the diagnosis / treatment of disease or injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager.
Minimum Qualifications :
For Hire : Current Radiography license, ARRT (R) required. Advanced Registry in CT required. Current Radiography ODH license required. Minimum Associates Degree in relevant field of study required. Minimum 2 years' experience in modality over which the employee is a lead.
Ongoing : Maintains registry & licensing status; meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
