What You Will Do at Aptar Pharma :

Reporting directly to the Automation Supervisor or the Lead Automation Engineer. Automation Engineer will be primarily engaged in the development, implementation, modification, and validation activities of the plant vision, control, motive, and communications systems. Duties include but are not limited to :

• Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and LOTOTO.
• Programming and maintenance of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Human Machine Interface / SCADA (HMI).
• Perform program and schematic version control and archiving.
• Vision systems maintenance, development, and optimization.
• Develop and design machine controls for automation machines, upgrades to our current standard machines, line modifications, and additions.
• Practice effective communication and cross-functional networking promoting team work.
• Utilize and apply knowledge of :
• Electric / Electronic Control Circuitry.
• Sensors, Encoders, and Instruments.
• Motors and Electronic Drives.
• Able to provide and assist with Technical Writing in English.
• Provide guidance and instructions to Technicians and Mechanics.
• Specifying and reviewing technical aspects of contracts and projects.
• Provide support for all plant Automation, Process, and Robotic Systems.
• Support in validation activities and improvements.
• Support Lead Automation Engineer and Supervisor.
• Analyze technician-generated documents such as inventory usage and maintenance software to spot trends that could point to opportunities to solve long-term problems.
• Ability to work on multiple projects independently and as a team.

Compensation and Base Annual Pay :

Aptar Pharma offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary or base hourly rate determined by many factors including the role, experience, knowledge, skill set and location. For those in eligible roles, discretionary incentive compensation which may be awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions. The typical base annual salary range for the position of Automation Engineer I to the specific work location of : Congers, NY region is USD $87,500 to $118,500 per year.
