Unit Overview : Become a member of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you'll engage with a diverse range of complex cases including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resectionsCervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeriesCaring for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramA high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow casesAs part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), gain exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.
Your Role :
Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care.Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes.Contribute to a positive patient experience throughout the care continuum.Why Join Us?

Utilize the nursing process for comprehensive patient assessments and individualized care plans.Anticipate changes in patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.Enhance patient safety and readiness to learn.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.Licensure and Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license from the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.Education and Experience :
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Skills and Abilities :
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Capacity to handle critical decisions effectively.Physical Requirements :
