Radiology Technologist Job Details

Location : Middle Township, NJ 08210 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)

Setting : Diagnostic Imaging – CT, MRI, Vascular, Dexa, and General Diagnostic Radiology

Employment Type : Local, On-Site Radiology Technologist position

Hours per Week : 36

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (potential for extension)

Hourly Pay Rate : $94.86

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2080 - $2230

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program

Eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry and / or NJ State Board of Examiners certification

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)

Proven competency in Computerized Tomography (CT) procedures

Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform required physical tasks

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

Perform CT scans and other radiologic procedures following hospital, state, and federal healthcare standards

Complete routine diagnostic imaging procedures efficiently (within 45 minutes)

Verify and document images in the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS)

Interview patients to obtain clinical history and relevant information

Educate and instruct patients and families about imaging procedures

Document all procedures and collaborate in multidisciplinary patient care

Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) and patient satisfaction initiatives

Maintain current licensure / certification and engage in ongoing professional education

Attend staff and department meetings as required

Perform additional duties as assigned in the radiology department
