This role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to enhance care quality by applying evidence-based practices and current research. - Direct and coordinate nursing care, overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel to ensure effective patient outcomes.\n
- Engage patients, families, and healthcare team members in care processes, including education and discharge planning.\n
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure cohesive patient care management.\n
- Support leadership in establishing excellence in patient care standards and actively participate in service improvements.\n
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.\n
- Assist in the orientation of new staff members, fostering a supportive learning environment.\n
- Act as a resource for hospital and departmental policies for nursing and healthcare colleagues.\n
- Participate in daily operations to ensure a safe and effective environment for patients and staff.\n
- Provide valuable input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs and improvements.\n
- Engage in committees focused on developing nursing and hospital policies to enhance patient care.\n
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Cardiac Stress Lab, including but not limited to diagnostic imaging and stress testing procedures.\n
- Perform cardiovascular stress tests and tilt table evaluations under the supervision of a physician or advanced practitioner in accordance with departmental protocols.\n
- Demonstrate competency in interpreting telemetry and 12-lead rhythm strips within 60 days of hire.\n
- Additional responsibilities assigned as needed.\n\nQualifications : \n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.\n
- A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is required.\n
- Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state is necessary.\n
- BSN is preferred.\n
- AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required upon hire.\n
- AHA ACLS Provider certification must be obtained within six months.\n
