POSITION OBJECTIVE :

The Senior Accounting Analyst serves a critical role in transforming our accounting operations as we complete remaining ERP implementations across North America and integrate with Global Accounting Center of Excellence (COE) in Europe. The Senior Accounting Analyst will provide direct support for accounting and treasury efforts in North America, including closing process, accounting analyses, financial reporting, controls environment, treasury management and special projects, reporting directly to the North America Financial Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Advances finance capabilities that simplify and standardize processes and reporting
- Ensure accurate, consistent and quality financial results for strong accounting foundation
- Enhance and standardize the use of operational and financial data
- Partner with IT to define, develop and create system generated reports and queries to better utilize ERP capabilities for speed and accuracy; automate excel based analyses
- Assist in advancing and embedding internal controls and accounting policy and practices
- Provide guidance, thought partnership and solutions to Business Controlling and COE on financial matters and process improvement opportunities
- Prepare monthly consolidated reporting and supplement information
- Develop and maintain key accounting analyses for deferred revenue and expense, leases, and other centralized balance sheet areas; support adoption of new accounting requirements
- Support and nurture ERP implementations with migration of back-office accounting to COE
- Evolve and streamline closing process, checklists and flow with COE and Business Controlling
- Build and analyze inventory reporting by site; providing insights and suggestions to optimize
- Champion inventory cycle counts with clear process and controls; monitor and assess results
- Enhance monthly capital tracking, reporting and monitor spend adherence to budget; ensure proper maintenance of Fixed Asset register with COE
- Lead and enhance cash forecasting process leveraging ERP and support treasury activities
- Manage customer funded equipment investments, ensuring timely and risk-free cash flows
- Lead preparation of information packages for Financial Audit and Tax provision
- Support quarterly annual budget development and quarterly forecast process
- Assist with special projects on as needed basis
Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Masters in Accounting preferredCPA with 3-5 years of experience in public accounting and industry senior staff accounting rolesSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES :
