FHA VA Licensed Underwriter

A company is looking for a Retail Staff Underwriter II to support the retail and wholesale platform in underwriting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Assist underwriters and processors with loan questions and scenarios

Maintain a small pipeline of loans during peak underwriting volumes

Review and submit tax returns for income calculations and issue VA NOV's for appraisals

Qualifications

High school education

5 years' experience in mortgage loan underwriting

Experience with FNMA / FHLMC / FHA / VA / USDA Rural Housing investor loans

Designations as FHA DE, VA SAR, and VA Lapp underwriter within 6 months of hire

General understanding of underwriting and compliance guidelines
