$49,960.00 / yr - $64,952.00 / yr

Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Intermediate Care Technician (ICT) Program is designed to hire transitioning service members, National Guard, Reserve, and Veterans Corpsmen – combat medics and medical technicians into positions at VA Medical Centers as an integral part of the medical team. Candidates generally qualify based on U.S. Armed Forces experience or equivalent education.

Qualifications

• Meet all Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) conditions by the closing date 09 / 30 / 2026.
• Have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-6 grade) in medical technician duties such as medication administration, minor surgical procedures, diagnostic studies, and clinical interventions.
• Complete 18 semester hours of graduate education or an internship in medicine-related coursework.
• Possess a combination of graduate education and specialized experience that satisfies total requirements.
• Preferred : Experience as Hospital Corpsman – Combat Medic – Medical Technician.
