Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Munster, Indiana (zip 46321) Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit (CV IMCU) Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Nursing Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30), every other weekend required Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $2020 - $2070 Patient Ratios : 1 : 4-5 Charting System : EPIC Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiovascular intermediate care or cardiac stepdown nursing Active Indiana RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required Successful completion of on-site Pass / Fail EKG exam on first attempt Proficiency with EPIC charting system Omnicell experience required COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical exemptions only) Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, vascular, or thoracic conditions Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, central lines, chest tubes, and surgical drains Administer blood products, cardiac drips (no titration), and vasoactive drips (no titration) Interpret dysrhythmias and manage oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, high flow, CPAP / BiPAP) Provide wound care, tracheostomy management, and feeding tube care Float to other nursing units as needed based on census and acuity Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records Why Choose Munster, Indiana for Your Travel Nursing Job?
