As a Security Professional - Armed Education Site - Multiple Shifts in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence at an educational location. You will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Tuesday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Wednesday 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Saturday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sunday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the education location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Assist with access control measures, verifying identification and permissions for entry as appropriate.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential security-related threats within the education location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and / or local laws and regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
